Professional advice

If you wish to seek a professional to help you grow you money, there are a large number of companies and organisations that provide this service.  There are a range of options to seek professional support:
  • Financial adviser.  Financial advisors will look at your personal circumstances and financial plans and make recommendations on products that will allow you to achieve your plans.  They must be registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).  If in doubt, you can check if they are registered on the Financial Services Register.  There are 2 types:
    • Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).  An IFA will provide unbiased advice on the wide range of financial products available.
    • Restricted advisors.  They will give advice on a limited range of products, either as a speciality area (such as pensions) or only advise on products offered by certain companies.
  • Finding a financial advisor.  UK Military Money is engaging with financial professionals who can provide their services to support military personnel.  These are not recommendations, but people or organisations who have expressed in interest in providing support.  As mentioned previously, I receive no financial benefit from any engagement you have with the companies / individuals below.  The intent is to continue to grow this community.
